Summer on the Porch
Summer on the Porch is a wonderful opportunity for our church family to come together this summer for a multi-generational Bible study outside the walls of the church. Every other week, we will gather in homes across our community to grow deeper in God’s Word, build meaningful relationships, and encourage one another in faith. We encourage the entire family to be a part of this special time together, including kids! Beginning May 31, Summer on the Porch will take place at the home of Clark and Cristi Langley. We will also gather on Mondays at Keith and Jolie Taylor’s, Tuesdays at Chad and Sarah Silvertooth’s, and Thursdays at Mike and Vicky Warlick’s. We would love for you to click the button below to sign up for this exciting summer opportunity as we continue to love God supremely, love one another deeply, and love our neighbor continuously.
Summer Studies
This summer, we invite you and your family to be a part of our Wednesday Summer Studies at FBCLC! These evenings will continue our Wednesday Bible studies with Pastor Chad, along with our Ladies Bible Study, as we gather together each Wednesday from 6:00–7:30 PM to grow deeper in God’s Word and in community with one another. While there will not be a Wednesday night supper over the summer, we would still love for your entire family to join us each week. We are also excited to offer an incredible opportunity for kids through our summer program called Collide, where our youth ministry students will serve by leading and helping continue our Kids 4 Christ programming for Kindergarten through 6th grade, along with Kids 4 Christ Jr. led by some of our amazing youth volunteers. Collide will begin on Wednesday, June 3, and continue throughout the summer except during the week of VBS. We will also continue Summer Sing, our choir rehearsal, during this time. If you have a middle school or high school student interested in serving through Collide this summer, please click the link below to register your youth and be a part of this amazing summer of service and discipleship.
Sounds of Summer
Sounds of Summer will be a wonderful opportunity for our church family to come together for worship-filled evenings as we lift high the name of Jesus throughout the summer. We are excited to kick off the summer on June 7 at 6:00 PM with Echo Heaven, a special night of worship, encouragement, and fellowship for all ages. Then, as we close out the summer on July 26, we will gather once again for Anthems of Faith. These evenings will be a meaningful opportunity for our church family to worship together and continue living out our mission to Love God Supremely. We would love for you and your family to be a part of these incredible summer experiences as we come together as one church family in worship.
Summer Social
Our Summer Socials are going to be a fun and meaningful way for our church family to spend time together throughout the summer! On June 21, we will celebrate our dads with a special breakfast during our Life Groups hour from 9:00–10:00 AM. This will be a wonderful time to gather together, enjoy breakfast, encourage one another, and celebrate the fathers and father figures in our church family. Then, on July 5, during our Life Groups hour from 9:00–10:00 AM, we will come together once again as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. We are excited for these opportunities to build community, create memories, and continue loving one another deeply throughout the summer season.
VBS Prayer Walk
On June 21, directly following the worship service, we will have our VBS Prayer Walk. This will be a special time for our church family to come together and pray over our church property, our leaders, our volunteers, and the upcoming week of VBS. During VBS, we will have an incredible opportunity to reach families in our community and share the hope of the Gospel with kids of all ages. We truly believe that prayer matters, and we would love for everyone, kids, students, and adults, to be a part of this meaningful time as we seek the Lord together and pray for God to move in a powerful way during VBS week.
VBS
Vacation Bible School is one of the greatest opportunities we have all summer to reach kids and families in our community with the Gospel — and we need your help to make this week the best it can possibly be! This year’s VBS, Kingdom Quest: An Epic Journey to Discover God’s Kingdom, will take place June 22–25 from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM each day for kids who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade. Throughout the week, kids will experience exciting worship, engaging Bible teaching, games, crafts, and so much more as they learn about God’s Kingdom and the hope found in Jesus. VBS is an incredible opportunity for us as a church family to love our neighbors continuously by serving and investing in the next generation. Whether you can help lead a group, serve snacks, assist with games, welcome families, or simply be an encouraging face, there is a place for everyone to serve. We would love for you to click the link below to sign up and help us make an eternal impact during this amazing week of ministry!
